How Traceflow works

What each tool and feature does, and how to use it — from your first UTM check to a shared campaign workspace.

Getting started

A workspace is your company in Traceflow. Everything — websites, reports and team members — lives inside it.

  1. Create your account

Choose Sign in and continue with Google, or with company SSO if your company has it set up. No password to remember.

  2. Start your 14-day free trial

Create your company and pick a plan. The trial applies to every plan, so you can explore before you pay.

  3. Turn on two-factor sign-in

Traceflow asks for an authenticator app code to protect campaign data. Keep the app on your phone ready the first time you open the workspace.

Free UTM tools

Three tools anyone can use in the browser. Your links stay on your device; files are only sent by email when you ask for them.

  1. UTM checker

Paste a campaign link to get a health score from 0 to 100. Issues are grouped by severity, and Traceflow suggests fixed links you can copy, keeping any other parameters intact.

  2. UTM builder

Fill in website, source, medium and campaign to build a clean link, then copy it or grab a QR code. Values you use often are remembered in your browser.

  3. GA4 tracking spec

Answer a few questions about your site and get a tracking plan with recommended events, such as generate_lead and form_submission, for your developer.

  4. Bulk and batch work

Checking many links at once and building links in batches are part of the paid plans. Files are delivered by email, never as a download.

IN THE APP

Workspace features

Once your company is set up, Traceflow turns Google Analytics 4 data into a clear view of which campaigns bring leads.

  1. Connect Google Analytics

In Connections, an Owner or Administrator signs in with the Google account that can read your GA4 properties. You can connect more than one Google account.

  2. Add websites

Choose which GA4 properties to track. The number of websites depends on your plan.

  3. Choose key lead events

Pick the GA4 key events that count as a lead, like generate_lead. Events must be marked as key events in GA4 first; then refresh the list in Traceflow.

  4. Read campaign reports

See leads and sessions by campaign, source and medium, filter by date range and drill down to find what works.

  5. Export reports

Owners, Administrators and Analysts can export reports as CSV for presentations and clients.

  6. Tools inside the workspace

The UTM checker, builder and tracking spec are also available inside the app, without leaving your workspace.

PLANS

Plans & billing

Pick Solo, Team or Enterprise, paid monthly or yearly. Payments and invoices are handled securely by Paddle.

  1. Choose or change a plan

The workspace Owner opens Billing to choose a plan. Upgrades apply right away; downgrades take effect at renewal.

  2. Team features

Team & access and inviting colleagues come with the Team and Enterprise plans. Company SSO is part of Enterprise.

  3. Cancel anytime

Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep access until the end of the period you already paid for.

  4. Invoices and payment method

In Billing, open Invoices & payment method to download invoices or update your card.

Compare plans

Team & ranks

Invite colleagues by email from Team & access, give each a rank, then tick the websites they may see. Joining a company never opens every website automatically.

What each Traceflow rank can do
RankTypical roleWhat they can do
OwnerWorkspace founder, billing contactEverything an Administrator can do, plus billing and company settings.
AdministratorDigital marketing managerConnect Google Analytics, add websites, choose key lead events, manage the team.
AnalystPerformance marketer, media buyerExplore and export reports for assigned websites.
ViewerJunior marketer, client, stakeholderView reports for assigned websites only.

Security

Every workspace uses two-factor sign-in, and an activity log records important changes such as invitations and settings updates. Google Analytics access is stored encrypted. Enterprise companies can add their own company login.
